Income Replacement

California State Disability Insurance (SDI) pays from 64% to 55% of your pay up to a maximum benefit of $490 per week.  Annual earnings above $46,327 are not covered by SDI.  Benefits begin on the 8th day of disability and are paid for up to 52 weeks.

Workers Compensation Insurance, in addition to providing medical and other benefits, provides a replacement of 66.7% of your income up to a maximum benefit of $490 per week.  Annual earnings above $46,327 are not covered by this insurance.  Commencement of income replacement benefits varies depending on the length of your disability.

If you are concerned that you may not be able to live on the benefits provided by these plans, supplemental insurance is available.
